Grade III bilateral trigger thumbs treated by prolotherapy: a case report

چکیده

Introduction: Trigger Thumb is a condition that caused by thickened A-1 pulley, often secondary to stenosed tendon sheath. There are several treatment options for trigger thumb, yet the use of prolotherapy treat has not been widely discussed in literature. Therefore, this study aims present case Bilateral Thumbs which were treated using Prolotherapy.
 Case: A 49-year-old female patient was admitted hospital with complaint inability flex his both left & right thumbs two months ago. On physical examination, there pain and swelling at base, palmar side thumbs, tender consistency, warm. daily activities hands. wasn’t history trauma. The range motion decreased. given thumb lidocaine injection only. After treatments prolotherapy, showed better results compared increasing ROM, decreasing level swelling, improving function thumb.
 Conclusion: In case, shown medication We suggest fingers other patients our hospital.
